Karen L. Wishnev

Karen L. Wishnev graduated Cum Laude from Tulane Law School in 1997.  Ms. Wishnev practices in the areas of general business litigation, insurance defense, appellate practice, and workers’ compensation.  She has trial experience in civil and administrative cases as well as experience handling mediations and arbitrations.  She has been the primary attorney and counselor for businesses, third party administrators and insurance companies on their employment and workers’ compensation needs for the past 18 years.

Ms. Wishnev holds an undergraduate degree in English from Rice University in Houston, Texas and a Maîtrise de Lettres in French Literature from the Université de Paris II, St. Denis, France, which is the equivalent of a Master’s Degree.

Ms. Wishnev is admitted to practice law in California and Louisiana. She is admitted to practice before the Federal Districts Courts of California and all courts in the State of California.

Ms. Wishnev’s legal publications include bankruptcy case summaries in the 1998 Wiley Bankruptcy Update (Aspen Law & Business 1998); a translation of French Law review article, European Community Sources of French Contract Law, 5 Tul. J. Int’l & Comp L. 85 (1997); a student comment, Jain v. Courier De Mere: The Seventh Circuit Compels Arbitration for Two Non-U.S. Citizens, 4 Tul.J. Int’l. & Comp. L. 359 (1996); and a law review article she co-authored, State Statues Dealing with HIV & AIDS: A Comprehensive State-By-State Summary, 5 Tul.J. Law & Sexuality 1 (1996).

Ms. Wishnev enjoys running, gardening, rock climbing and hiking and spending time with her husband and son.  She has run the Carlsbad and America’s Finest City Half-marathons.
